A year after the first AGM was held in Dusseldorf, System Alliance Europe, the European transport network of which Groupe Heppner is a co-founder, convoked its members last 22 May at Ottrot for the second annual gathering.

A very positive review of how business developed over the year was presented at this event that took place at this historic birthplace of Groupe Heppner. With 9 new members joining System Alliance Europe in 2006, the network was able to capitalize on a number growth vectors: a more buoyant market, structural changes within the network, the optimization of quality management and internal evaluation procedures. System Alliance Europe in figures - 40,000 people
- 8.6 billion euros
- 10.2 million international consignments in 2006 (a progression of 11% compared to 2005)
- 11.7 million tons of merchandise transported (up 20%)
The Annual General Meeting also served as an occasion to present the major advancements made by the network over the period, notably in terms of geographical coverage – now reaching 21 countries, and the operating and information system – Europeanization of barcode labels, availability of on-line signed transportation receipts … Some 46 partners strong today, all with similar profiles and sharing the same international culture, System Alliance Europe constitutes a network allowing all partners to offer pan-European services, complete and integrated, in order to become the reference in Europe in the near future. To achieve this, the network implements common procedures and works to reduce costs as well as track and improve quality.

Actively involved in System Alliance Europe, Groupe Heppner is pursuing the strategy it first laid out at end of the 60s: participate in a network linking all of Europe, as well as consolidating relations between its members and optimizing the competitiveness of their groupage service in the European Market.
