05-20-2009 Isabelle Phung elected « Purchasing Decider 2008 » by Décision Achats
Isabelle Phung, Director of Purchasing and Infrastructures at Heppner was elected “Purchasing Decider of the Year” by the readers and Internet members of the trade publication Décision Achats last March 11th.
The distinction of « Purchasing Decider 2008» was bestowed upon Isabelle Phung, Heppner’s Director of Purchasing and Infrastructures, during the first “Purchasing Deciders’ awards ceremony” organized by the press group Editialis. Isabelle Phung was up against ten candidates short-listed by the editorial committee of Décision Achats.
Isabelle Phung was selected for both the amplitude of projects that she and her team energetically completed for Heppner and her assertive personality. The only representative from an SME “competing against candidates from large companies”, she carried out numerous operations by setting up new procurement software programs and centralizing the major purchases for the company.
Isabelle Phung successfully accomplish her different missions thanks her unshakable conviction and her involvement in accompanying Heppner in its development strategy. In close collaboration with her team, she continually demonstrated her determination, her capacity to anticipate as well as her creativity and put these assets to work for the company.
For instance in 2008, she and her team supervised and implemented the test launch of a Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) in order to substantiate the company’s commitment to sustainable development.
As Isabelle Phung herself says, “In these times of extreme tension, performance can no longer be optional but must be at the heart of all our activities. I belong to those who believe that it is from broken ground that spring the best ideas and organizations.”
“This award is a recognition for our profession and for Heppner. It pays tribute to the expertise and performance of our personnel, as well as our human values, essential for the deployment of our projects,” adds Gilles Moutel, Managing Director of Heppner.
Isabelle Phung has held the position of Director of Purchasing and Infrastructures at Heppner since 2006. She has a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Procurement Management from the University of Paris Dauphine.
