06-28-2007 Heppner reinforces its presence in the Vendée Charente Region

The passing of the torch between Claude Girard and David Bouhier, is an excellent occasion for the Groupe to rally its clients together in order to share the success of this agency since it first arrived in the region, some three years ago.

Regional Director of Vendée Charente since January 2005, David Bouhier is today succeeding Claude Girard, former Director of the Roche-sur-Yon site whose career at Heppner spanned more than 30 years, and has also been nominated Director of the Roche-sur-Yon agency. As such, he will coordinate a team of some sixty people in the development of national and international activities, and endeavor to expand the influence of the agency in the region. David Bouhier started his career in the commercial department at Ducros Services Rapides in 1996. He was then appointed Director of the Graveleau site before joining XP France in 2003 as Regional Head of Sales in Western France. The arrival of Laurent Baccaglioni, nominated Director of Operations for the National Groupage service, will also strengthen the Roche-sur-Yon agency’s positioning. Prior to this, he was in charge of similar functions within the Groupe at Grenoble and more recently at La Rochelle.
As for Jean-Benoît Georgin, he is taking over the responsibility of international activities. He started his career path in the Paris region, then went on to work in the U.K. and then for Olano in Irun. Making the most of its human-sized dimension, the Roche-sur-Yon agency is endeavoring to nurture close relationships with its clientele to guarantee a high-performance and quality service. The agency notably proposes a complete range of national Groupage and Chartering services. It is also present in ground haulage to or from all of Europe and in international traffic flows with its Overseas offer, managed jointly with the Nantes agency. Heppner La Roche-sur-Yon handles 900 consignments and 700 deliveries daily in the département. Since Groupe Heppner took over the company XP in 2004 to consolidate and optimize its distribution network in France, especially in the West, and enlarge its development opportunities internationally, this agency has steadily grown, having created 5 new jobs, particularly in European activities.
