09-24-2007 Heppner at Châtres: successful transfer of its activities
Groupe Heppner pursues its logic of renovating and developing its logistics sites and transfers activities from the Lognes warehouse to a new platform at Châtres (77), dedicated to national and international Transport and Logistics.
Modern and state-of-the-art, at the Châtres site the Groupe’s clients such as Motul and Schulman dispose of premises answering their needs and prerequisites notably in terms of performance and security: • 20 000 sq m of surface
• a 13-meter high building
• 26 loading docks
• 6 boxes for classified and value-added products
• 350 orders prepared daily
• 160 tons exported per day This « new generation» installation, built to respect the environmental regulations, is equipped with the most up-to-date security systems notably including a complete video surveillance system. With regard to the type of products handled (plastics, oils…), the building has an integrated sprinkling system and also has 13 operating authorizations in conformance with the Regulations of Classified Installations. In order to answer the specific operations constraints of clients, Heppner teams took charge of the complete transfer of activities themselves. From participating in the elaboration of building and storage installation layouts to setting up information management systems, not to mention defining operational and procedure modes, the men and women at Groupe Heppner intervened at all levels to ensure the success of this move. « We are proud to have completed the relocation of premises and employees at the Châtres site, and we owe this success to the involvement of all our people. Keeping in mind a need for efficiency, transparence and continuity of activity, we decided on a timetable in consultation with our clients. Today they are entirely satisfied with this extremely modern and totally secure site. As logistics specialists, we can say that this move was carried out by professionals! » stated Alain Ducrocq, Director of the site.
