03-03-2008 Groupe Heppner takes part in operation « Train for Employment and Equal Opportunity», 18 March to 4 April 2008

Groupe Heppner is pleased to announce its participation in operation « Train for Employment and Equal Opportunity» that will crisscross France between 18 March and 4 April 2008.

Organized by the TLF (federation of transport and logistics companies) and backed by the ANPE (national employment agency) as well as the Ministry of the Economy, Finance Employment and sponsored by the SNCF (French national railway company), the objective of this campaign is to recruit future professionals in transport and logistics, irrespective of their initial level of training. Additionally, the aim is to promote equal opportunity and diversity to help combat all forms of discrimination.

"This is the first time Heppner is participating in ‘Train for Employment and Equal Opportunity’ and this operation incarnates the transport and logistics values of our Groupe. Training and employment constitute one of the pillars of our development strategy and the strategic orientation that we have laid out leading up to 2010, being the development and integration of skills and competences among our workforce,” states Mourad Bouziane, HR Director of Groupe Heppner.

Given these challenges, Heppner answered the call to partake in this initiative in cooperation with professionals and local players (State, local municipalities, institutions, ANPE, professional federations, training organizations, enterprises…) who decided to join forces and mobilize their respective means for employment in the transport and logistics job sectors.

Via this operation, Groupe Heppner’s objective is to recruit future professionals for the core activities making up the multimodal transport chain, such as: handlers/packers, drivers, inventory controllers, loading bay foremen, operations managers, agency directors…

During the six scheduled whistle stops, Heppner will meet with young job applicants to fill nearly 50 work/study contracts (apprentice and on-going professional training).

First stop: Paris / Gare Montparnasse
Next stops: 25 March at Bordeaux, 27 March at Lyon,
31 March at Rennes, 2 April at Mulhouse, 3 April at Lille
and 4 April at Paris / Gare du Nord.
